The Lausitzer Füchse were defeated 5-2 at home to Fishtown Penguins on Friday Night. After 8 minutes the REV led with 2-0 but Pohling and Kulabuchov equalised for 2-2. Then Caudron made it 3-2 for Bremerhaven just before the break. Defender Hanusch got an injurie. In the 2nd Varvio scored while the Foxes had PP for 4-2. Bremerhaven controlled the game. In the 3rd period Todd Gill and Jeremy Stasiuk had fighting and both players became 14 min penalty. One more goal sealed the game for Bremerhaven.

Last Sunday the Foxes lost against Dresden with 5:4 (2:2,1:0,2:2) and 600 fans, who travelled with them had seen it in a sold out stadium. The Foxes began with a very offense play and the first led was scored by Pohling. But three minutes later there were the goal for Dresden. It was made by Pavel Vit. Then came a new leading for our team - already one minute after the last goal. The whole period the Foxes were superior against Dresden. About two minutes before the period was over there were a powerplay for Dresden, who used it for the 2-2. In the 2nd the game turned completely and the fans of our team couldn't see any order so Dresden has taken the lead. The goal was made in the 25th minute by Hoffmann. Referee Mrachatz couldn't overlook the game and gave penalties for both teams. Then the Foxes tried to come back in the match again and offensed the goal of Pascha and five minutes after it Stephan Kuhlee scored for 3:3. Now we could hope for a victory, but this dream was destroyed by the little red goal. Calce and Richter sent Dresden on the trail of victory in the 51th and 59th minute. The last goal of the game was made by a Fox - Jörg Pohling. It came 22 seconds before the game was finished. While discussing the validity of this goal, Todd Gill had a fight with Hoffmann from Dresden. Gill got for it a 2+2 penalty. But this lost game is not very tragical, because the Foxes will go now into the 8-team play-off tournament after finishing the league in 6th place and meet now their "opposing team of wishes "next Friday at Schweinfurt Icedome.
