Fishtown Penguins - Lausitzer Füchse 5:4 aP Friday 06.02.2004 Foxes loses after comfortable lead
The Lausitzer Füchse played very well last Friday in the game against Bremerhaven. Martin Sekera and Daniel Bartell scored early to keep their team in front. Penguins Player Streu scored 51 seconds before End of the first period through Powerplay. The Foxes eventually built a 4-1 lead when Jörg Pohling and Greg Schmidt scored. A few seconds before End of the second period, Penguins Player Pysz scored for his team. In the third period our Foxes became a little bit of trouble, Bremerhaven came better in the game and scored two times for 4-4. After Overtime the Fistown Penguins won the Penalty Shot-out, Caudron was the lucky Player. Todd Gill had one assist. He´s a huge part of this team.

The Foxes startet with the strong effect from Friday game. After 59 seconds Marco Ludwig scored and everybody knowed it will be a great game. The bavarian guests had nothing to show, after 5 minutes they could tie through Canadien player Ron Newhook. But our Team wasn´t shocked. With a Slapshot Marcel Linke put the Foxes ahead for good 62 seconds later. Munich Goalie Koslow had a lot of work and he looked not good. Martin Sekera scored a few minutes later for 3-1. After 15 minutes Munich came better into the game and could use a Powerplay for 3-2. After that, Munich had Powerplay again, but Jörg Pohling from Foxes could use a fault and made a Wristshot-goal for 4-2. In second period Viktor Bystryantsev scored and built a 5-2 lead. Later after a fight he got a whole-game penalty, so that the game was over for him. One minute before End of period Munich´s Tim Leahy shot on Goal, Goalie Iiro Itämies saved but unfortunately Jörg Wartenberg scored in own Goal. Mario Jann could use an assist of Tim Leahy for Munich. By a stand of 5-4 the Foxes became nervous similar to Friday game. Munich tried to tie the game but Alex Engel could use a solo and assisted to Greg Schmid for 6-4. 3 minutes before end youngster Andre Mücke scored for 7-4. "I have to make a compliment to my team, every Player gave all." coach Sekera said.
